– Art’s main goal is to rescue “things” from the daily meaningless aspects of life – (Maby Navone)
Villa Navone was the family home of beloved artist Maby Navone (1932-2015).
Even since the ’70 and throughout her life, Maby Navone expressed with her pioneering artistic work a harsh complaint of the consumer-based society, stressing in particular about the risks of plastic sea pollution.
Her artpieces are mainly made with plastics and other objects collected on the seashore then ‘transformed’ into art.
Mostly today -as we are facing the devastating consequences of marine litter and sea plastic pollution, her colorful, precise, clean and architecturally oriented artworks engage senses, hearts and souls with a simplicity that surprises.
